I am a social and cultural geographer with an interest in long-term emotional and affective attachments to place. I specialise in public participation, using online spatial workshops, walking approaches and qualitative biographical methods. My current research involves both visualising the future of energy supply and Chinese restaurants in the UK. I teach human geography at Cardiff University and have spent most of my professional life working on local regeneration initiatives. Currently PyGyRG treasurer and co-chair.
